AFHWS COMMUNICATIONS

• AFAHWS receives anonymized annual data on disease morbidity and mortality from participating Alberta feedlots via their feedlot veterinarians.
• Objectives of this work, and methods for data collection and analysis are described below (“Alberta Feedlot Animal Health and Welfare Surveillance – Overview”).
• After the annual analysis is complete, draft summaries are shared with participating veterinarians and the rest of the research team, for review.
• Finalized annual feedlot morbidity and mortality data are summarized in infographics and presented below.
